STONE TOWN & SPICE TOUR

We will start by going to a spice farm. This tour is very educational and fun. We will walk through the spice farm and learn about trees and plants that are used to make our local spices that are then imported to all parts of the world. You will observe cinnamon, cocoa, nutmeg, black pepper, and many other spices! You will return with beautifully crafted accessories made from live flowers and leaves, which will make your trip even more colorful and special. Here you can also purchase all natural, locally made soaps and spice gift sets. We will then continue to Stone Town and experience its rich history and a dynamic, lively feel. You will walk on its narrow, labyrinth streets- it is like nowhere else in the world! We will take off on a walking journey through the Darajani Market where you can purchase spices, fruits, and all kinds of souvenirs. We will also go in the Anglican Cathedral, where slave trading has occurred, then pass by the Old Fort, Sultan’s Palace, and the House it Wonders. We will finish up the walk in the Forodhani Garden [most loved at nighttime when the local food booths open up]
